The environment committee for Highlands East is starting a project to restore a healthy shoreline. They say Paudash Lake will host a showcase property. Committee Chair Suzanne Partridge says their goal is to restore the water quality on one municipal property along the lake. She says there is a natural feel to a healthy shoreline.
She says the importance of the shoreline shouldn’t be underestimated.
Partridge also says a healthy shoreline would have benefits for both wildlife and the public.
Partridge says the Paudash Lake shoreline survey project starts in 2017.
