Hundreds of officers are getting ready to retire, so the OPP will be hiring even more police officers than usual. This situation is allowing OPP to develop a virtual outreach and awareness strategy.
They will be using social media activities to enhance professional development.
Next Wednesday a “Breaking Barriers” live-stream event will be hosted where OPP officers will be sharing their experiences concerning every step of their OPP career.
Not only that, but on Wednesday February 17 there will be a live stream on an OPP Recruitment Information Session. During this stream the Officers will discuss what it takes to be a competitive candidate.
These social media activities will be recurrent.
