Today is the first day of Hike Haliburton, and there’s something for everyone.
Director of Tourism Amanda Virtanen says this is the largest hiking event in Canada.
Virtanen says over 80 free guided hikes will be happening, with levels ranging from easy to hard.
She says the main event is on Sunday at Head Lake Park.
Haliburton Highlands Biggest Picnic Ever will have a variety of local food vendors, artists, entertainment, and a beer tent.
