The First Halibana DrumFest was a Success

Plans are in the works for another Halibana DrumFest next year.

Dysart’s Recreation Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller says the events this year were well attended.

Rails End Gallery says there is a strong commitment to bringing in diverse cultural groups and drum traditions moving forward in this celebration of Haliburton’s unique character and drum culture.

The events started in August, leading up to the costumed procession in Head Lake Park on September 3rd.

The Gallery says over 40 people participated at Head Lake Park, and most of them were local residents.
