Red Cross is prepared for all emergencies in Eastern Ontario

In the case of a natural disaster, outbreak or emergency the Canadian Red Cross in eastern Ontario is prepared.

From the relief organization, James Sedgewick recently presented to Madawaska Valley’s council the Red Cross’ role and capabilities in the event of an emergency.

The Red Cross could support the province or municipalities in setting up evacuation centres, with around 800 beds and supplies housed in Ottawa.

The organization also has supplies in Pembroke, Bancroft and Huntsville.
