Public access drinking water set to open at Stanhope Airport

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is going forward with a public access drinking water system at the Stanhope Airport.

The Highway 118 Spring was closed last fall when the MOE labelled it unsafe to drink. When that happened, council committed to get the well at the airport up and running by the summer.

Yesterday, councilors voted to hire Algonquin Clean Water Services to start the work. It’s costing just over 16 thousand dollars.
