Thousands still without power in province

There are still tens of thousands of people without power across the province, after last week’s nasty ice storm. That includes about 30-thousand homes and businesses in Toronto, and a few hundred people in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Orangeville and Bracebridge. It’s a big improvement from the 600-thousand customers who were without power at the start of the storm. Warming centres are still open in some areas to help people deal with the cold, while crews and utilities from less affected areas of the province are being brought in to help restore power as quickly as possible.
