The Timber Mart Novice Highland Storm were in Brighton for a tournament this past weekend and after losing the first game to the Sturgeon Lake Thunder, the Novices came back strong shutting out the Tweed Black Hawks 6-0, then winning the B Finals 7-6 over the Newmarket Stars.
Goals were scored by Kadin Card, Isaac Lee, Graeme Armstrong, Cheyenne Degeer, and Mak Prentice.
Meanwhile, it was a tough week for thePepper Mill Highland Storm Bantam A who just couldn’t’ get their offence going, the Storm lost to the South Muskoka Bears 6-0 in Gravenhurst, then despite a great effort lost 2-0 to the Huntsville Otters Friday night in Minden.
The Dollo’s Foodland and Smolen’s Dentistry Highland Storm Midget A team took to the road this weekend to play a tournament in Simcoe. The Storm went 2-1 in the round robin portion with the kickoff game Fridaynight going to a shootout with the Midgets coming out on top!
Saturday they split the two games earning top spot in the division and a berth in the semi-final game Sunday against the Ilderton Jets. It was close but the Jets edged the Storm 3-1 to move on.
