Highland Storm weekend wrap-up October 30 – November 1, 2015

It was the Highland Storm against the Huntsville Otters this past Saturday at the SG Nesbitt arena in Minden. The Timber Mart Novice Highland Storm got things started and despite a great effort the Novices lost 7-3. Storm goals by Isaac Lee, Kadin Card and Addison Carr.

Meanwhile, the Emmerson Lumber Atom Storm team also welcomed the Otters. A close game in the early going but the Otters came away with a 6-1 win, Austin Boylan score the only Storm goal.

The Joanne Sharpleys Source for Sports Highland Storm Peewee A’s also played Huntsville. The two evenly matched clubs played to an eventual 1-1 tie, with Alex Little scoring the only Storm goal, and goalie Darian Maddock was superb between the pipes.

The Dollo’s Foodland and Smolen’s Dentistry Highland Storm Midget A team hosted the Huntsville Otters on Friday evening.  It was a fast paced see-saw battle until the final minute of play where the victory went to the visitors 5 – 4. Storm goalie Ethan Howe was exeptional between the pipes.

On Sunday The Storm Midget A’s visited the Parry Sound Shamrocks.  It was a rough, penalty-laden game that the Storm lost 4 – 1 Jacob Haedicke scored the lone goal for the Storm.

Meanwhile The Pepper Mill Highland Storm Bantam A team had busy weekend, playing 3 games and earning 5 points. They tied the South Muskoka Bears 1 all in Haliburton Friday night, they beat the Shamrocks 2-0  in Parry Sound on Saturday, Jaxson Campbell earned the shutout and on Sunday back home in Minden the Bantam A‘s hammered the Muskoka Rock 8-0. Owen Gilbert notched a hatrick and Carson Sisson earned the shutout.
