An initiative by OPP is putting money in the pockets of some local organizations. OPP in City of Kawartha Lakes held weekly BBQs over the summer and they raised close to $900. The money was split evenly between four programs. Those were the OPP Youth Foundation, Kawartha-Haliburton Crime Stoppers, OPP Kids Program and Kawartha-Haliburton Victim Services.
