Tourism will be a big part of Haliburton County next year, and they’re already getting high praise from the regional tourism organization. Executive Director of Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization Nichole Whiting says the Haliburton Highlands is their golden child because the community is so engaged with tourism efforts.
On the heels of the success of 2015, the county’s Director of Tourism Amanda Virtanen is planning ahead for next year. She wants to create marketing campaigns focusing on story telling through a campaign called “Unleash your memories”.
