HHHS sites need for new skill sets the reason for a new CEO

Haliburton Highlands Health Services says new leadership skill sets is the reason Varouj Eskedjian is no longer their CEO.

According to a press release, the Board of Directors has decided to look for the next generation of leadership. The release states, “new leadership skill sets are required to inspire our people to bring the organization to the next level and to lead the important process of building one team and shaping a shared culture at HHHS.”

Eskedjian was the CEO for the past three years. The board says Eskedjian is moving on from HHHS, but are acknowledging his significant accomplishments. They say Eskedjian “has been instrumental in developing a vision for our future and the delivery of health services generally in Haliburton County.”

Carolyn Plummer has been appointed as interim CEO, who has been the Chief Nursing Executive since September.
