Haliburton residents should be wary of fraud calls from fraudsters claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency.
Bancroft OPP says there have been reports of callers using aggressive and forceful language demanding that you pay an outstanding tax debt.
OPP is reminding locals that the Canada Revenue Agency never requests payment by prepaid credit card, or demands immediate payment over the phone.
Contact the agency to confirm your call has been from them.
