Baby, its cold outside

If you’re not prepared on cold days, your health can take a nose dive. The Health Unit says people should always think ahead and have an emergency vehicle kit at the ready if travelling. Try not to rub exposed skin or areas on your body that have been impacted by exposure to cold. Warm up slowly via natural body heat when you’re indoors or use a warm compress. The health unit regularly puts out cold weather information and reminds community partners to check on seniors or others who live in isolated communities to make sure they’re safe.
