According to Public Works this will be the last winter for snowmobiles on the Howland Junction Bridge because snow groomers won’t be allowed on the bridge after this spring.
Director of Public Works Craig Douglas says the bridge needs a deck replacement but at this moment funding options are being explored.
Douglas noted that starting spring there will be a one tonne load limit for the bridge because it will limit the risk of an adverse occurrence for at least another year.
