According to the Haliburton Health Unit there are nearly two-dozen Syrian refugees in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
In a Board of Heath Meeting on February 18th the health unit was told that more refugees are expected to arrive to Haliburton County shortly.
HKPR District Health Unit was told that once more families arrive there could be an increase of demand for health services.
