Haliburton County can go to college and university at a more affordable cost because of the 2016 budget.
Premier Kathleen Wynn says the government will replace a number of existing assistance programs with a single, targeted, non –repayable Ontario Student Grant starting in the 2017 school year.
The changes to OSAP will make the average tuition free for more than 150,000 eligible low and middle income students.
Wynn says the grant will also provide support for full-time mature and married students.
