Harvest Haliburton is a volunteer committee with a mission to development a healthy and well-being food system for residents in Haliburton County.

Organizer Andrew Von Zuben says the group has a goal of making a positive change to the agriculture community.

Zuben says when the Great Depression happened 42 per cent of the US population was farming, but now only half of one per cent are.

He noted that this will bring employment opportunity to the community.
