NewsNumerous charges after R.I.D.E. stop on Gelert Road SHARE ON: Sue Black, staff Wednesday, Feb. 5th, 2014A 28 year old man from Dysart is facing numerous driving charges. On Sunday afternoon February 02, officers from Haliburton Highlands OPP were conducting a R.I.D.E. check on Gelert Road. Officers stopped a 1999 Cavalier at the check area and discovered that the driver was unlicensed. As a result of the investigation, the driver had his vehicle impounded for 45 days and was charged with driving while disqualified and under suspension, as well as operating a vehicle without insurance or authorized plates. He’s scheduled to appear in Minden court in March.
