The fire risk has been downgraded to medium in Minden Hills.

Fire Chief Doug Schell says there has been more brush fire this year than in 2015, because of dryness.

He says the fire metre has been lowered because the town has had rain recently.

Schell wants residents to still be cautious while starting a fire.
