The Haliburton Junction Skate Park committee is slowly climbing the ladder to their goal.

The Municipality of Dysart et al decided to start fundraising for an improved skate park, and needs to raise $100,000 towards the project.

Recreation Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller says the Farmer’s Market Association donated $500, the Pump Shop donated $300, and McKeck’s gave $1500 towards the new park.

Mueller says the committee is planning to set up a booth at Midnight Madness, and create another event on September 10th, to raise more money towards an improved park.
