Programming and circulation have increased substantially in the Haliburton County Public Library.
The Municipality of Minden Hills says this could potentially lead to more staff in the future, which would allow the library to be open on Mondays.
CEO Bessie Sullivan says one-third of the population has a library card, and there has been a nine per cent increase in items.
Sullivan says they will continue developing local digital literacy content by applying for grants and bringing stakeholders together.
