Councillors of Minden Hills say the township’s transfer stations and landfill sites will not be accepting brush material.
They say the hot and dry weather may result in a potential burning hazard, and for the public’s safety brush will not be accepted or burned at this time.
Staff will continue to monitor the situation, and provide updates when necessary.
Councillors are also reminding residents the fire hazard rating continues to remain high throughout the township.
