There is a provincial curfew our local OPP would like to remind you about.

Haliburton Highlands Constable Tim Negus says children under the age of 16 are not allowed to be in a public place between midnight and 6:00am unsupervised.

Negus says unsupervised children could be taken to a safe place, like the OPP station.

Officials say this is a way to keep kids out of trouble, and reduce the number of petty crimes.
