Haliburton County is finally getting rain today.
Environment Canada says the rain will be heavy at times, and thunderstorms are expected.
Officials say this area will likely get 40 to 60 millimeters of rain.
They say heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Residents are being reminded a fire ban still remains in effect for Haliburton County.
