The municipality of Highlands East is trying to bring more tourism to the area by promoting a positive outdoor experience.
In order to do this, the trails committee is developing, promoting and marketing trails.
They are also working on the development of Greens Mountain.
This is part of the community’s strategic plan.
Councillors say the plan focuses on creating business and cultural opportunities, enhancing the natural environment and fostering economic development.
