Conservation officers handed out 19 charges and 54 warnings to anglers in Minden and Haliburton last weekend.

The Ministry of Natural Resources conducted an enforcement blitz checking angler compliance with the Ontario Fishery Regulations and the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.

Charges and warnings included fishing without a license, catching and retaining fish during closed season, and possessing fish of a prohibited size.

Officers also issued warnings under the Liquor License Act.
