Police Received a High Number of Service Calls Over The Long Weekend

The Haliburton Highlands OPP kept busy this long weekend responding to a variety of incidents.

Constable Tim Negus says officers received calls about break and enters, domestic and family disputes, thefts, noise complaints and other criminal matters.

Negus says there were 11 collisions, and four of them involved animals.

He says police also laid two impaired driving charges.

Officers responded to 180 calls for service from August 29th, to September 5th.

The OPP is thanking those who stayed safe this long weekend.
