Another scam has hit Haliburton County.
The Haliburton Highlands OPP says fraudsters are pretending to work for Hydro One.
They say scammers will call you saying you have an unpaid bill, and will threaten to disconnect your power if it’s not paid.
Officials are urging you to never give out personal information over the phone to someone who cannot prove they work for the business.
They say when in doubt, just hang up.
