For the first time in many years, Trillium Lakelands District School Board is seeing a decline in EQAO results.

The biggest drop is in grade 6 math scores.

Forty per cent of students met or exceeded the provincial standard, a ten per cent decrease over the last scores.

There is a 10 per cent decrease in grade three writing, with sixty per cent of students meeting standards.

The results also show a nine per cent decrease of grade three students who met the standards of math.

Superintendent of Learning Andrea Gillespie says TLDSB will be reviewing the data to determine the next steps to turn things around.
