An episode TVO Kids television show ‘Giver’ could be filmed in one of Algonquin Highlands’ parks.
Parks, Recreation and Trails Manager Mark Coleman submitted the Elvin Johnson Park on Halls Lake into the running. The show provides $10,000 toward rebuilding community parks. Television crews travel to the park and film the episode with six local kids.
Coleman says they’re chances of winning are better than average. The ten winning locations will be announced at the end of the month.
