The Haliburton Highlands OPP wants residents to be aware of cyber criminals.
During October, our local OPP will join police services and subject matter experts from across the country to promote public awareness.
Police say over 80,000 Canadians fall prey to cyber scams every day, which is the population of Peterborough.
This year’s Cyber Security Awareness Month campaign will focus on phishing scams, free Wi-Fi use, email attachments and online child safety.
