Make plans to see the fall colours in the area this weekend

You don’t need to drive out-of-town this long weekend to see fall colours.

The Ontario Fall Colours Progression Report says up to 40 per cent of trees in Haliburton County have changed colour so far.

Officials say the best viewing opportunities are at Oxtongue River, and around Carnarvon.

If you do want to make the drive, Algonquin Park’s Sugar Maple Canopy is at its peak.
