One more S.T.O.P program left this year

Smokers in Haliburton County have one more opportunity this year to quit.

The Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge District Health Unit has a free quit-smoking program called S.T.O.P.

The workshop gives smokers five weeks of free nicotine patches, as well as education material and other resources to help them quit.

Public Health Nurse Karen Taylor says this is a worthwhile investment of your time, and it has helped dozens of residents so far.

For more information about the program visit the HKPR’s website.
