Our local chamber has released its Obstacles and Opportunities for Small Businesses report.
This is the result of detailed consultations over six months held by 25 chambers of commerce, boards of trade and hundreds of small business owners throughout the province.
Manager Autumn Smith says the report shows local business owners are facing big obstacles.
Smith says the government needs to work with the provincial and federal governments to ensure investments and programs are targeted to reduce operational costs to support business growth.
She says the report also shows businesses with fewer than 100 employees make up 98 per cent of Ontario’s businesses.
