The Haliburton Highlands Health Services is ready to start its Palliative Care Centre expansion.
It has received the final stage of approval from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
President Carolyn Plummer says the expansion will allow them to provide more palliative care services to people in the community.
Plummer is hoping to complete the construction, and to be able to use the space in spring 2017.
She says each suite will also have an accommodation for loved ones to stay overnight.
