The replacement of The Howland Junction trestle bridge deck is almost finished.
In December, the Director of Public Works Craig Douglas told the Municipality of Haliburton County the bridge needed to be replaced.
The construction started on September 12.
Douglas says the outside wood stringers were rotten, and have been replaced with steel.
He says some decking and railing components still need to be installed, but it should be done by October 28th.
The Reeve of Minden Hills Brent Devolin says the bridge is beautiful, and suits our environment.
