Highlands East Councillors are taking another look at its strategic plan to update and outline goals.
CAO and Treasurer Shannon Hunter says it’s a good idea to go over the plan and update it annually. She says this provides an opportunity for council and staff to work together and develop goals for the municipality.
Some of the goals discussed were to develop more walking and water trails. The need for standardized and consistent municipal signage was also talked about.
Council has suggested going over the plan two times a year, and have a session once a year to go over it in depth.
