If you’re at home or work, you could encounter a salesperson online, by phone, or door-to-door. Officials say some salespeople aren’t honest, and could scam you. They say these salespeople use convincing tactics like mentioning their business conducting work in your neighbourhood, but can’t give you the names of past customers. Our local police says don’t rush into making a decision to purchase, and don’t rely on verbal agreements. Tell the salesperson you will get back in touch after have had a chance to read all material given to you.
