The Highlands East Trails Committee wants to see more walking trails in the area.
Economic Development and Business Coordinator Curtis Tighe is recommending council directs their staff to scope walking trails at Greens Mountain, and the old highway near Farr Road.
Tighe says if scoping proves both trails are feasible, a work plan, signage plan, trail head signs and brochures should be developed and implemented.
He says this helps with the municipality’s strategic plan, by creating a positive outdoor experience. Tighe will present council in December for their 2017 budget considerations.
