Our local MPP wants the government to take immediate action to end human sex trafficking in our province.

Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott says it’s clear there isn’t a strategy to end the crime.

Scott says globally, this modern day form of slavery is now a $150 billion dollar industry.

Scott says young women are often exploited by their own friends, or boyfriends. She says it can happen anywhere.
