Food banks in Haliburton County are receiving a donation from the Haliburton Highlands OPP.
On Saturday, police officers were at Foodland, Valu-Mart, and Independent filling a cruiser. Police say over $4,000 in food and cash donations are going to the food banks because of the shoppers.
Constable Tim Negus will be at the Wilberforce Foodland this Friday from 10:00am, to 3:00pm collecting more food and money. He is encouraging people to donate because it’s a worthwhile event.
