Businesses in Haliburton County can apply for money to hire a full-time student this summer.
Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MP Jamie Schmale says last year the Canada Summer Job program gave nearly $700,000 to his riding which was divided between 100 different employers. The money helped over 250 people get jobs.
Schmale says this program allows Haliburton County to have more summer jobs for full-time students between the ages of 15 and 30. He’s encouraging small businesses and organizations to apply for this funding.
