Large event organizers in the Village of Haliburton may need to put up their own parking signs.

Dysart et al’s Recreation Advisory Committee wants organizers to be responsible for showing people where they should park. The committee says staff should look at the Park Use Agreement and make a section about organizers needing to have their own parking signs for events that attract more than 500 people.

The committee wants to price out metal framed sandwich boards versus metal stick signs to buy for additional parking signs. They also think it would be a good idea to create a sign for Head Lake that says where additional parking is available.
