The province of Ontario is offering a Seniors Community Grant Program to not-for-profit organizations who help seniors stay active in their communities.
Chair of the CARP Haliburton Charter, Bob Stinson says they have applied for things like this in the past. They currently have an application submitted for the New Horizons for Seniors Program which will be used to provide transportation to events for seniors who are unable to transport themselves.
Stinson says they should hear whether or not it is approved within the next month, but if they don’t receive it, they will most likely apply for the Seniors Community Grant Program.
