Residents in Haliburton County are going to see some relief on their electricity bills this year.
The government is removing the eight per cent provincial portion of the HST, which could save you $11 a month. Ontario says eligible rural residents could also get more of a decrease on their bills saving them $45 a month.
Another regulation kicked in on January 1st for towing industries. Companies must post rates for towing on their trucks. They also have to accept credit cards, and not demand cash.
