The Reeve of Highlands East is in the hospital. The municipality says Dave Burton is recovering after injuring both of kids legs, but no other details about the injury are available. Burton is currently at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, but Deputy Reeve Suzanne Partridge says he hopes to move to the Haliburton Hospital. Partridge will be chairing Highlands East meetings until Burton is better.
