The assault charge against a long-time Toronto Star columnist has been dropped.

Rosie DiManno signed a peace bond in the assault case against her, which stems from an alleged fight with another person in Coe Hill in July.

The conditions of the peace bond mean DiManno will have to maintain good behaviour for the next 12 months, although she can contact the alleged victim.

Disobeying these conditions will mean DiManno faces criminal charges.
