Haliburton County councilors are calling on residents to take action on May 1. In opposition of the proposed OPP Billing Model, councilors have announced the Day of Action. On May 1, taxpayers are asked to flood the Minister and Premier’s office through phone, fax, email and twitter with opposition to the model. Councilors are using #OPPMayDay to raise awareness surrounding the issue. Some municipalities have also begun sending out notice to their residents asking them to write letters expressing their concerns.
