If you shop online, make sure you’re not buying from a fake website.
Scammers are creating phony retail websites by posing as popular brands including Canada Goose, Michael Kors and Coach. This warning comes from the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. The organization says when people order on these sites they get sent counterfeit items.
The anti-fraud centre says to investigate the website before you place an order, as counterfeit sites usually have spelling mistakes and grammar errors.
If this happens to you, don’t return the item or they will sell it to someone else, instead, report it to the agency.
